Cornicelli, curated by Amaltea Club, is a collection of 14,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent Italian good luck charms that are stored on the Ethereum blockchain. The breathtaking scenery of Italy, in particular that of the Amalfi Coast and Naples, served as the primary creative force behind the designs of the Cornicelli.
There are ten Super Rare Cornicelli, and if they are minted, those who have them will be eligible to receive prizes in ETH. The intention is to bestow good fortune upon the entire world. Following the conclusion of the sale, there will be a series of raffles during which the winners will be awarded prizes. In addition, the company will produce a limited edition hand-made ceramic Cornicelli that will be part of an exclusive merchandise line that will be designed by a select group of artists. Each wallet is limited to minting a maximum of six and a half Cornicelli. Tradition and culture in Naples are where the history of the cornicello can be traced back to its beginnings. People have, throughout the course of many centuries, ascribed to the cornicello the function of a talisman that served to shield them from the ill effects of the evil eye and other potentially harmful forces. According to the tale, Zeus was nursed and cared for by a goat named Amaltea, and after she passed away, Zeus created a Cornucopia out of the goat’s horns. The emblem of abundance known as the cornucopia served as motivation for the creation of the Cornicelli.
