The French department store chain's virtual store is available on a Printemps website powered by Web3, which is a decentralised online ecosystem. It features 30 products, including handbags, trainers, dresses, sweatshirts, jewellery, T-shirts and hats, available to purchase. Customers will have their orders delivered to their homes. Prices range from €115 (£100) for Vivienne Westwood necklaces to €1.900 (£1,658) for Gucci shoulder bags. Meanwhile, Printemps will offer anyone purchasing a product from its metaverse store a chance to win NFTs (non-fungible tokens) created in collaboration with artist Romain Froquet. At least 30 NFTs will be offered to 30 customers via the Arianee NFT platform. One of the 30 NFT holders will also receive an original painting by the artist. Morgane Lopes, digital marketing director at Printemps, told Drapers: "Metaverse and NFTs are at the center of conversations. Every day new web3 initiatives are launched by luxury brands and boundaries between real and virtual worlds are becoming very thin.
