Luxembourg gets virtual version – real life version to followOrange Luxembourg (OL) has opened an Orange Digital Center (ODC) in the heart of the Luxembourg Metaverse district of Cyberspace. From this virtual space, the operator will support start-ups, raise awareness of the new opportunities and encourage creative people to explore the possibilities of this unexplored and misunderstood territory. It will also advise pioneers of the dangers associated with these new virtual environments. Orange will develop skills for those interested in operating in the metaverse. In addition, a physical ODC will also open in September in Luxembourg City.
There’s much talk about the metaverse but not enough understanding, said Orange in a release. Many industry players are struggling to perceive this deceptive environment which mixes many technological approaches and multiplies our bewilderment through alternative sensory experiences. Through this virtual ODC, Orange wants to invite stakeholders and start-ups to discover the positives possibilities offered by the metaverse, it said. On the other hand, it wishes to make users aware of good practices and the dangers associated with these environments.
See how you develop
Corinne Lozé, CEO Orange Luxembourg, wants to take users through the metaverse and make them more cognisant of the good and bad that exists in every metaverse. “The Orange Digital Centers are support and development centers for digital skills that already exist elsewhere in the physical world,” said Lozé, in a press conference organised in the metaverse. “Considering the stakes inherent in the development of metaverses, it seemed important to us to open up such a space at the heart of these virtual environments.”
