Italian luxury goods brand Prada has become the latest company to expand into the Web3 by launching a time capsule NFT collection, linked to a gender-neutral physical product and a gifted NFT.The first solo NFT by Prada follows the brand’s initial success in collaboration with Adidas Originals, backed by Polygon blockchain. Moreover, the company will launch Prada Crypted, a new community served on the instant messaging platform Discord, free for all. The Timecapsule is a monthly online event that will occur every first Thursday of the month, in which one new exclusive item will be available for customers from selected markets, in limited editions, on Prada’s website. Each limited-edition Timecapsule item is associated with a unique serial number and will be delivered with custom packaging, alongside an exclusive NFT. The brand also stated that each drop will be limited to 50 items, except for the June 2022’s drop, the first of its kind, which will be extended to 100 items. All NFT owners will receive a series of benefits, including access to future drops and exclusives. NFTs are issued on the Ethereum blockchain that provides a secure and user-friendly experience.
