Web3 and Cryptocurrency Runs Parallel with Metaverse
The metaverse is growing in step with a number of technologies that may serve the interests of metaverse platform holders and users through interoperability and creator economies.

For example, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) could verify the ownership of metaverse items and avatars through NFTs and those assets could be traded over cryptocurrency exchanges.

For now, many of these companies are in the business of operating or supporting blockchain-related technologies as vehicles for financial speculation.
