A British firm is set to open its virtual doors to the public in an unprecedented health and wellness solution.
Emplomind, a global provider of accessible, on-demand mental health coaching, recently announced it was set to launch a first-ever Metaverse Mental Health Hub.
According to the company, roughly 75 percent of young people failed to receive sufficient access to mental health support, sparking demand for new mental health solutions.
Emplomind aims to provide such facilities to users to elevate its company mission “on the next level,” it said in a statement, adding it aimed to launch the service on Decentraland with a strong focus on education.
The London-based firm will leverage its team of specialists and technical skills to build metaverse solutions and digital domains to allow users to create virtual communities for safe environments.
The firm also plans to roll out its core services and features in a roadmap for one to one On-Demand support.
Initially, the service will be launched across Decentraland and primarily focus on education with a roadmap to roll out the core service of 1-1 On-Demand support.
According to Lee Godwin, Global Sales Director for Emplomind, the Metaverse would offer a “huge opportunity” for his firm to reach audiences and “break down the barriers to people getting access to Mental Health Support.”
He continued, stating,
“The various digital worlds in the Metaverse will allow us to play our part in providing Mental Health support and ultimately safer spaces for people who will be spending increasing time in these environments”
Jonny Fiat, Metaverse Commercial Strategy Lead at PangeaDao, added his firm was “delighted” to partner with Emplomind on “such a vital implementation within the Metaverse.” He concluded: "The blank slate of the Metaverse gives us all the opportunity to ensure we’re building an environment designed for humanity to thrive. We look forward to guiding Emplomind deeper and wider across digital worlds to ensure Mental Health is weaved naturally into the Metaverse”
